My great-great-great-grandfather was one of the first pioneers to settle in our area. He built a grist mill (a water-operated mill that grinds wheat or other grains into flour) and ran it until the day he died at 94 years of age.

As you can imagine, my great-great-great-grandfather's family's furniture was simple and sturdy. He had chairs like these - strong, durable, and stylish in their own way.
