The original Shaker solid wood furniture was made completely by hand, with hand tools, and was very plain and simple, partly by necessity - they didn't have the time to do all that extra fancy stuff!

Today, we still do the work mostly by hand, using power tools and machines to help us, and we do our best to retain everything that is good about this solid wood furniture design - all the way from the old construction techniques to the classic style and design.
